Description

East Barn, also known as Church Barn, is a 16th-century rectangular building located 10 yards north of the house in Little Basing, Old Basing. The barn features plain walls on three sides, with the west facade showcasing a central arched doorway flanked by a three-light window on each side, although the southern window is modern. It has a red tile roof and red brick walling laid in English bond, which includes a high plinth that is stepped on the east face. A stone weathered band marks the plinth, and there are stone dressings around the door and windows, with mullions positioned below hood-moulds. The barn also has an inserted first floor and a blocked upper door on the north side of the east wall.
