Description

Parker's Piece Barn is a late 17th-century building located in Old Basing. The barn features four bays with aisles on all sides and has entrances at the second bay from the south, which projects on the west side. It has a timber frame with straight struts. The upper roofing and both ends are covered with corrugated asbestos, hipped at the south end and featuring a small gable at the north end. The lower roof on the east side is made of slate, while the west side has a tiled gable with a weather-boarded front above the projected entrance. The walls of the aisles are constructed from old Basing bricks in English bond, with ventilating slots positioned above a high continuous plinth.
