Description

Church Lane House, formerly the Workhouse built in 1836, is a two-storey building with an attic. It features two windows and two gables on the front. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a central shafted stack. The walls are constructed from old 'Basing' brickwork in a mixed bond pattern. Notable architectural details include a weathered tile string above brick dentils on the second floor within the double gable, small parapets at the center and corners, a projecting band on the first floor, and a plinth. The windows are casements set in modern openings.
