Milestone. Circa late C18. Painted stone; square on plan with cambered top, worn at base and sides inscribed: 18 to Stockbridge, 14 to Winchester, 49 to London and 3 to Basingstoke. It is on the Stockbridge and Basingstoke and the Basingstoke, Odiham and Alton turnpikes of 1755 and 1736 respectively. A good example of a late C18 milestone.
