POPHAM Milestone on A30/A303 at NGR 547 444

Milestone. C18. Stone. Tall milestone with cambered head and sides inscribed: 14 to Stockbridge, 53 to London and 7 to Basingstoke. It is on the Stockbridge and Basingstoke and the Basingstoke, Odiham and Alton turnpikes of 1755 and 1736 respectively. A good example of an C18 milestone.
