DUMMER Milestone on A30/A303 at NGR 575 460

Milestone. C18. Painted tooled stone with cambered head and sides inscribed: 16 to Stockbridge, 12 to Winchester, 51 to London and 5 to Basingstoke. It is on the Stockbridge and Basingstoke and the Basingstoke, Odham and Alton turnpikes of 1755 and 1736 respectively. A good example of an C18 milestone.
