Description

The Nook is a building dating from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. It has one storey and an attic, with irregularly placed windows. The structure features timber framing with crucks and a prominent steep thatched roof, which has hipped ends, an eyebrow, and a dormer on the west side. The exposed frame suggests that the central part of the building is older, with brickwork attachments at each end. There is a small area of flint walling on the west side of the south elevation. The windows are small casements, and the doors are plain, set in solid frames.
