Description
Kempshott House Stable Block is a late 18th-century building that has been modernized recently. It features a wide range of structures arranged symmetrically. The main block is two stories high and has a layout of two sets of two windows, with single-storey wings extending on each side. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles, and there is a pediment-gable with a small circular opening above the slightly projecting center of the main block. The openings are arched lunettes with modern traditional glazing, and there are doorways at the second and fifth bays; the centerpiece has been altered and may have originally included a carriage arch. The south-west wing retains its original pattern of door, window, door, window, but the doorways at the other end have been replaced with windows. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, and the south-west gable is tile-hung. Above the eaves, there is a clock sheltered by a gable.
