Description
Down Grange is a building dating from the 18th century to the early 19th century. It is an earlier house that has been added to and refaced at a later period, resulting in irregular facades of two storeys. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring eaves at the north wing. The walls are cement faced, with a high parapet that has coping and a moulded band at the top, as well as a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with most arranged in groups of three within semi-circular fall-height walls. The entrance is located in a large segmental bow wall, which has a sash window above a plain order of coupled plasterwork; the mouldings have a small projection. Additionally, the entrance on the west side is situated in another semi-circular wall.
