Description
Church Cottages, located to the south of St Mary's Church, were built in 1828. This is a two-storey, symmetrical pair of long, narrow cottages, featuring an outshot at the rear that ends in single-storey projecting units. The front (east) side has six windows and is topped with a hipped slate roof. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond with blue headers and have cambered openings. The windows are casements, and the doors are boarded and set in solid frames. In the center of the front is a flush oval stone plaque inscribed with "GPJ 1828."
