Description

The building at 46 Swan Street, Kingsclere, is a 17th and 18th century property of two storeys and four windows. It has a tile roof with a gable at the south end and a hip at the north, featuring brick dentil eaves. The walls are painted brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with rubbed flat arches and stone sills. The windows are sash windows set in reveals. A six-panelled door, with two glazed upper panels, is set within a solid moulded frame, sheltered by a moulded canopy supported on decorative wrought-iron brackets. Alterations to the west side of the north elevation include a first-floor band of moulded brickwork, which is of an earlier date.
