Description
The Rookery is an 18th-century building that was formerly two dwellings. It features a regular front (east) with two storeys and four windows. The roof is tiled and half-hipped on the north side, with brick dentil eaves. The walls are constructed of blue header brickwork with red flush dressings, including quoins, a first-floor band, and various arches: one wide rubbed flat arch, one Dutch arch, and a modern flat arch, along with a plinth. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with two on the ground floor being Victorian triple lights.
One doorcase features an open pediment, a dentil cornice, scroll brackets above plain narrow pilasters, an arched opening with a reeded surround and impost band, a plain fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The other doorcase, which is of later date, has a similar classical design but with a square opening.
