Description

The building known as the Magazine is located on Castle Street in Winchelsea. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and was originally two houses. The structure has two storeys and an attic, featuring six windows and two hipped dormers. The ground floor is constructed of stone rubble and red brick, while the upper part is tile-hung. It has a hipped tiled roof and casement windows with small square panes. There are two doorways, each with flat hoods and doors made of six fielded panels.
