Description
Bank House, formerly known as The Westminster Bank, is a timber-framed building likely dating from the 15th century. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows and one dormer on both the east and west sides. The front facing the street is stuccoed at the ground floor and tile-hung above. The building has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. On the first floor, there are casement windows with small square leaded panes, while the ground floor has modern windows, including a curved window with glazing bars that serves the bank. The entrance features an 18th-century doorway with a flat hood supported on brackets, and a door made of six fielded panels, with the top two panels cut away and glazed.
