This is a row of four 18th-century houses, numbered 70, 72, 73 and 74, on the High Street. The facades are of painted brick, designed to resemble stonework, with tiled roofs. Numbers 70 and 72 have 19th-century shop fronts. Numbers 73 and 74 have 18th-century facades applied to earlier buildings, and include bay windows. The houses are part of a group that also includes numbers 67 to 70, 72 to 80 and Bank Chambers.
