Description

This is an 18th-century front applied to a building originating in the 15th century. It is a two-story, two-window structure built of painted brick, with a tiled roof. A doorway is framed by a small, flat hood, and a modern shop front occupies the space to the left of the door. Internally, the building retains ceiling beams. At the rear, there is an extension into a lane; the northern portion was a former cottage. Nos. 34 to 40 (consecutively) along with The Standard Inn form a visual group.
