Description

Ye Olde Bell Inn, located at 32 High Street, is a Grade II listed building that dates back to 1578. It is a timber-framed structure, and the original part of the inn and No 32 are likely remnants of a single building. The front of No 32 has undergone significant alterations, with the first floor now covered in tiles that have been painted. The original section of the Old Bell Inn has been restored, and a mock Tudor extension was added to the west around 1930. The building features a tiled roof with one dormer and modern windows. Inside, No 32 boasts an 18th-century doorway framed with fluted detailing and a flat hood above, along with ceiling beams.
