Description

Easter Cottage, now part of No. 78 High Street, The Mint, dates to the early 19th century, although it incorporates an older structure. The rear portion is now a separate house, Mermaid Rose Cottage, located in Mermaid Passage. The building presents a two-storey facade with two windows on the upper floor and three windows on the tiled ground floor. It is constructed of painted brick with a parapet. A distinctive curved end features a central doorway facing The Mint. Easter Cottage forms a group with Nos. 67-70, Nos. 72-80 and Bank Chambers.
