Description

Nos. 75 and 76, The Mint, originally one house but later divided into two shops, date from the early 19th century. The building is three storeys high and has two windows. It is faced with stucco, with string courses marking the level above the ground floor. A cornice and parapet are located above the second floor. The shop fronts on either side of the entrance doorway were added in the mid-19th century. The building is part of a group which includes Nos. 67-70, Nos. 72-80, and Bank Chambers.
