Description
These are two detached houses, dating to around 1800. They are built with black mathematical tiles designed to resemble blue glazed brickwork, with tile-hung sides. The roofs are covered with new tiles and are hipped in style. The houses are three storeys high and feature three windows, with only two windows on the second floor. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded casings. The central doorway has a fielded-panel door within a moulded doorcase, featuring modern pilasters and a pedimented hood, and is accessed by steps with iron handrails. To the left of the central doorway is another entrance with a single window above and a six-panelled door, a rectangular fanlight, and a moulded doorcase with a cornice. Numbers 46 to 62, even numbers, form a group.
