Description

These are two houses dating from around 1800, with additions made in the early to mid-19th century. They are built of brick and have a pantiled roof. The houses are four storeys high and two bays wide. The windows are mostly glazing bar sashes, although the window on the first floor to the right has a sash window. A canted tripartite window is on the ground floor to the left, and doorways are present on both sides. The left-hand door, leading to No. 34, has six raised and fielded panels, a fanlight, and a doorcase featuring reeded engaged columns, reeded console brackets, and an open pediment. The right-hand doorway has a six-panel door with a rectangular overlight, tall thin pilasters, and a cornice hood. Timber brackets support the gutter. A central chimney is positioned in front of the ridge, and shared ridge chimneys are located to the left and right. The interior was not inspected, but records indicate original fireplaces with cast-iron grates.
