Description

Wellington Terrace is an early to mid-19th century stuccoed terrace of eleven houses, situated alongside Portland Terrace. The terrace has a moulded cornice and a slate roof with gabled ends. It is two storeys and has an attic, with eleven windows in total. The first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded architraves; number 10 has a modern casement window. The ground floor features wooden canted bay windows with sash windows and curved cornices, although the glazing bars have been removed from number 2, and numbers 3, 10, and 11 have modern square bays. The paired doorways, originally set within moulded architraves (now missing from numbers 1 to 6), lead into the properties. Eleven flat-roofed dormers light the attic space. Area railings are situated in front of the terrace. The terrace forms a group with Portland Terrace, which is a building of local interest.
