Description
Hatch Gate Farm Cottages is a farmhouse that has been converted into cottages, dating back to the 16th century. The building has been altered over time, with the lower part plastered and the upper part pebble dashed, all set under an old tiled roof with flanking chimneys. It stands two storeys high.
On the west front, the upper section overhangs, supported by a bressumer on curved brackets attached to large posts. There are two bays of casement windows with glazing bars. To the right, there is a lower wing with exposed timber framing, positioned at right angles to the main structure, featuring a half-glazed door in the corner and one bay of similar casement windows. The rear of the cottages displays exposed rectangular timber framing. The interior does not have any special interest.
