Description
Church Hill Cottages are two cottages that date from the late 18th century, with alterations made to a 17th-century timber-framed house. They feature an old tiled roof and are two storeys high. The south front is constructed of chequered brick with a vitreous string course at the first floor level. The west gable end is rendered and has flanking chimneys. The building has three bays, with two outer 4-light Victorian wood casement windows and a central 3-light window above two doors set in a wooden porch. There are segmental brick arches over the ground floor windows. Some timber framing is visible on the north front. To the right, there is a 19th-century timber-framed cottage extension with brick infilling and a slate roof, which includes one bay of 3-light casement windows and a ledged door in the right-hand corner. The interior does not have any special interest.
