Description

This is an early 17th-century timber-framed cottage with three bays, located on the west side of Wokingham Road in St Nicholas Hurst. The frame is filled with colourwashed brick, and the roof is tiled. A large chimney incorporating a bread oven is on the east gable. The cottage has two storeys. The south front features a gabled porch and 20th-century casement windows. A large 20th-century extension is present on the north side. The interior retains original timbers, including braces and chamfered joists with run-out stops.
