Description
Rose Cottage is a cottage and brye, now serving as staff accommodation for the Bull Inn, located in Bisham Village. It likely dates from the late 16th century and was altered and extended in the mid-20th century. The building features part timber frame with brick infill, part brick, and part rendered surfaces, topped with old tile gabled roofs, including a catslide on the left. The structure is L-shaped, with the gable facing the road. It has sections that are two storeys and one and a half storeys high, with chimneys on the ridge and the rear gable.
The road-facing side includes a one-bay gable on the left, with a brick ground floor and rendered upper section. The ground floor features 20th-century casement windows, with a three-light window on the left and a single-light window on the right. The right section is constructed of brick with a low eaves level and has a small gabled roof dormer on the right, which contains a similar window. Inside, some timber framing is exposed. The building is included for its group value.
