Description

Bell Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-16th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It has a timber frame that is rendered with false timbers and features an old tile gabled roof. The building has a nearly square plan consisting of one framed bay, with Pound Cottage to the left and the Bell Inn to the right, both of which are listed separately. The cottage is two storeys high and has a chimney on the left side of the ridge, which has an offset head and a clay pot.

The front facing the road was formerly jettied but is now underbuilt. It has a three-light metal casement window on both the ground and first floors. There is a 19th-century, four-panel entrance door on the right side, which is topped with a flat hood supported by cut brackets. Inside, the ground floor features chamfered joists.
