Description
Little Tudor is a cottage located on Ascot Road in Holyport. It dates from the mid-16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century and alterations made in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame with brick infill and part brick construction, topped by an old tile gabled roof. It has a rectangular plan consisting of four framed bays, originally three, with a small lean-to extension at the rear. The cottage is two storeys high and has two chimneys with offset heads.
The entrance front faces southeast and has a scattered arrangement of windows. On the first floor, there are two 2-light windows and two 3-light windows, while the ground floor features one 4-light window and one 3-light window. To the right of the centre, there is a 20th-century plank entrance door, accompanied by a small square window on the left and a larger single-light window on the right.
Inside, the timber frame is exposed, showcasing curved braces and windbraces. The roof has a queen post design. The ground floor includes one plain principal beam and another beam that has chamfers and plain stops.
