Description
This is a row of three cottages located on Ascot Road, dating from the mid-18th century and extended in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of brick and feature an old tile roof, which is separate over No. 1. The buildings have a rectangular plan and were originally designed as two cells, standing two storeys high.
There are two chimneys: a tall central chimney between Nos. 2 and 3, which has a string course and an offset head with clay pots, and a similar but narrower chimney on No. 1. The entrance front faces southeast and has dentil eaves. The row consists of three bays, with sash windows that have glazing bars and painted gauged brick arches on the ground floor, while No. 1 has unpainted arches. Nos. 2 and 3 each have two bays with plain entrance doors, which are flanked by gabled porches on either side of the windows. No. 1 features one bay with a similar door and porch to the right of the windows.
