Description
Goffs Cottage and Ivy Cottage are two cottages dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. They feature a timber frame with brick infill and some brick construction, topped with an old tile roof that is half hipped on the right side. The cottages have a long rectangular plan consisting of four framed bays and stand two storeys tall. There are two chimneys, one on the ridge and one at the right-hand end, both fitted with clay pots.
The front facing the road has 19th-century casement windows with glazing bars, although some have been altered. Each floor contains four windows. The entrance to Goffs Cottage features a 20th-century half-glazed door with a porch and a small pent roof to the right of the first bay. Ivy Cottage has a 19th-century plank entrance door with a pent hood supported by brackets. Goffs Cottage and Ivy Cottage are adjacent to Coventry Cottage on the left, which is listed separately.
