Description

The stables and cart shed at Woolley Firs, located approximately 20 meters west of the house, is a combination farm building dating from the mid-18th century. It is primarily constructed of pinkish brick in Flemish bond, featuring some vitreous headers, and has a part weatherboarded timber frame. The building has an old tile hipped roof and a long rectangular plan with slightly projecting wings at each end. The southern wing consists of four framed bays and has a curved queen strut roof.

The structure is one and a half storeys high, with offset and dentilled brick eaves. The east front is irregular, with the former cart shed on the left, which is weatherboarded and includes a gabled hayloft that breaks the eaves to the right of the center. The right section has two boarded openings and a central gabled hayloft that also breaks the eaves. The central section features a small projection at each end, adjoining the projecting wings, with the roof continuing down to a low eaves level. There is a doorway at the center flanked by a window opening on each side, both with segmental heads. A similar hayloft is located to the right of the center. The west front is plain brick with five bays and blocked openings that have segmental heads. The building is currently used for general storage.
