Description
Wilton Mead and Company Estate Agents is an 18th-century building located on the south side of High Street. It is three storeys tall and constructed of red brick. The building features a parapet with stone coping and a hipped slate roof, forming an L-shaped block. The left-hand wing has a segmental bay front with two double-hung sash windows on each floor, all with glazing bars and stone cills. The right-hand part also has two double-hung sash windows with similar details. On the upper floors, there is a similar window on the ground floor to the left of a six-panel entrance door, which is positioned to the left of centre. This door is topped by a rectangular fanlight with narrow side glazing and a central wreath of oak leaves, flanked by ovals. The doorcase features oval reeded engaged columns with a pair of cut brackets supporting a cornice hood, and there is a fluted frieze between the brackets. A large modern display window is located on the right-hand side.
