Donnington Hospital

Donnington Hospital is a group of almshouses built in 1602 and restored in 1822. The structure is made of brick with tiled roofs and features six stacks with four and two shafts, all having oversailing tops and rectangular bases. It has a central courtyard and is one storey high with an attic. The windows are 20th-century casements with leaded lights.

At the center, there is a porch that displays a coat of arms beneath a stone-coped gable with a returned hood mould. The entrance has a segmental head and a brick band that runs under the eaves, extending down each side. A deep moulded eaves cornice spans the foot of the gable. There are four windows on the left and three on the right, all fitted with shutters. The stacks on either side have twin shafts, and there are two 20th-century dormers on the left and one on the right.

The moulded eaves cornice continues across the feet of the gables at both ends, with casements above. The north and south fronts each have two stacks and 20th-century dormers. The courtyard features eaves supported by iron columns.
