Description

No. 1 Castle Lane is a 17th-century cottage constructed of brick and timber framing with brick nogging and some tile hanging. It features a half hipped tile roof with a catslide over an outshot to the south. The cottage has two stacks on the ridge and one on the south side. The entrance has been altered from its original lobby type. The building is two storeys high, with the north front displaying two framed bays. There are two ground floor windows and one window to the left on the first floor, all of which are casements. The central door has been blocked.
