Description
Barn Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has been altered in the 20th century. It features a chequer brick exterior and an old tile gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan with one-storey hipped roof extensions on both the left and right sides, as well as two gabled extensions at the rear. It stands two storeys high with an attic. There is a large chimney on the left gable and a smaller one on the right, both with offset heads. The cottage has a flint plinth and a first-floor string course. On the upper level, there are two three-light casement windows, while the lower level has two four-light 20th-century leaded casements with segmental heads. The central door is half-glazed and is located under a 20th-century gabled porch.
