Description

Parsonage House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with extensions added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of vitreous brick, with a half-hipped old tile roof and a tile-hung gable. The building has a rectangular plan, with 19th-century gabled and 20th-century flat-roofed extensions to the north, and a 19th-century entrance situated in the angle between the main block and the extensions. Two chimneys with offset heads are visible on the south-east roof slope of the extension. A moulded string course runs along the first floor, topped by a bracketed wooden cornice. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within rubbed brick heads; similar windows are found on the gable end, but without glazing bars. The south front has three bays, with the outer sashes being tripartite, and the former central door having been replaced with a window.
