Description
YATTENDON YATTENDON LANE (north side) SU 5574 11/24 The Old Rectory GV II House. North front of 1740, south front of 1747, early C19 and 1906 additions. Red brick with stone cornice and stone coped parapet. Hipped old tile roof with 3 square headed 2-light dormers and end stacks. 2 storeys and attic; 5 bays, glazing bar sashes. Central 6-panelled door with plain architrave, straight hood on scrolled brackets, and apron-shaped tympanum. Addition to left: early C19. Red brick with stone coped parapet and hipped tile roof. 2 storeys. First floor 2-light casement and ground floor glazing bar sash. Addition to far left: 1906. Red brick with wooden eaves cornice and hipped tile roof. 2 storeys. 2 first floor glazing bar sashes, single ground floor casement. North front: red brick with stone cornice and stone coped parapet; hipped old tile roof. 2 storeys; 5 bays, glazing bar sashes.
