Description
The Malthouse is a house located on Yattendon Lane, dating from the 17th century with an early 19th-century refacing. It is constructed of pebbledashed brick and features an old tile roof that is half hipped to the right and hipped to the left. The building has an off-centre ridge stack to the right, an end stack to the left, a rear stack at the left, and a flat-topped Gothick dormer that is off-centre to the left, which contains a three-pointed arched light leaded casement.
The house is two storeys high and has three Gothick casements on the first floor, each with three pointed arched leaded lights and a returned hoodmould. On the ground floor, there are three Gothick casements to the right, each featuring three pointed arched leaded lights, a scallop-edged blind hood, and a returned hoodmould. To the left, there is one Gothick casement with two pointed arched leaded lights, also with a scallop-edged blind hood and a returned hoodmould. Between the second and third windows from the left, there is a six-panelled door that is sheltered by a flared lead porch supported on iron columns.
