Description
The Old Saddlers Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with a 19th-century refacing. It features a timber frame with brick nogging on the east side and later white-painted brick facing on the south. The roof is covered with old tiles and has an end stack on the left. There is a gabled semi-dormer with a two-light casement, and a queen post truss is exposed in the gable end on the east side. The cottage is likely part of an adjoining former open hall. It consists of one framed bay with an additional framed bay wing at the rear and is one and a half storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are two three-light casements from the 19th century, and the entrance is located at the right-hand end.
