Description
Forge Cottage is a house dating from around 1500, with a 19th-century refacing and 20th-century additions. It features a timber frame that has been later covered with white-painted brick, and it has an old tiled roof with an end stack on the east side. The house consists of two framed bays and stands two storeys high.
On the north front, there are two 19th-century leaded casements with two lights each on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there are two 19th-century casements with two lights to the left and a three-light casement to the right. A six-panelled door is set back to the right within a two-storey 20th-century addition. Inside, the cottage has a crown post roof supported by chamfered timbers.
