Description
The Old Vicarage is a house built in the early 18th century, with later additions and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. The house has a symmetrical, two-storey façade with five bays and a central entrance hall on the south front. The central bay projects slightly forward. The entrance includes a 20th-century door with a four-pane overlight set within an architrave. The windows are 20th-century replacements with 12-pane flush sashes. The eaves are stepped, and the raised gables have tumbled-in brickwork, with the right gable having a rebuilt top section. There is a projecting end stack on the left and an axial stack at the rear right. Inside, there is an open well staircase featuring a ramped corniced handrail, closed-string construction, column-on-vase balusters, and a newel post, although the lower section of the balustrade has been rebuilt in the 20th century. The doors are three-panel designs with L-hinges.
