Description
The building is a pigstye range with an attached shelter shed, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, with the shelter shed and the front of the pigstye range being timber framed and featuring weatherboard cladding on a brick plinth. The roofs are covered with plain tiles.
The pigstye range is a single storey and consists of five bays, with brick yards located at the front and a four-bay shelter shed attached to the rear right. On the east elevation of the pigstye range, there are stable doors and feeding-trough chutes integrated into the front yard walls of the four right-hand bays, while the left bay has a board door leading into the front yard. The yard walls are topped with founded brick coping. Each gable has a door framed in chamfered brick that leads to a rear passage, and the eaves are lower at the front. There is also a narrow rear door.
The shelter shed is open-fronted and supported by jowelled posts, featuring braced collared tie-beam roof trusses. The right gable is half-hipped and includes a small-pane window. Originally, the shelter shed had a weatherboarded front wall. This building is included for its group value.
