Description

BRADFIELD BUCKHOLD SU67SW Lodge about 400 metres east north 1107-0/7/10005 east of Herons Farm II

Estate lodge. 1885, by Alfred Waterhouse. Red brick with band of raised brick diapering and corbelled gables with toothed verges. Plain tile roof with gabled ends. Brick axial stack at centre with corbelled brick cap. PLAN: Cruciform plan with porch and outshut in the angles. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical elevations. Gable ends of wings with patterned brickwork and 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars in the top lights; windows in segmental arched openings. Wooden lean-to porch in angle on timber post with arch. INTERIOR not inspected.
