Description

Nos 5 and 7, London Road, are an early 19th-century building, potentially incorporating earlier structures. A print from around 1825 depicts them as part of a terrace development. The building is three storeys high, with a fenestration pattern of 2 windows to the first three, and a bay of blank windows between the properties. It has a hipped slate roof with a brick ridge stack. The facade is stuccoed, featuring a moulded eaves cornice and a plain band at first-floor level on No 5. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars. No 5 has a round arched doorway with a fanlight over a panelled door. No 7 features a late 19th-century shopfront, with a fascia that extends over a former carriage entrance.
