Description
No. 60 Back of the Walls is a building from the probably second half of the 19th century, originally used as a bonded warehouse. It is two storeys high, constructed of red brick with black brick dressings. The roof is made of large slabs of green and grey slates, and the gable ends feature wooden bargeboards.
The front elevation displays black brick long and short quoins, along with a central round-headed unloading door that has the initials D. W. W. near the keystone. There are two cambered window openings on the first floor with wooden grilles, and one plain window with a wooden grille on the ground floor. The building has a plinth and a round-headed arch on the ground floor with "Old Bond Store" painted on the keystone, leading to a studded wooden door. The side elevation features blank round-headed arches.
