Description

This is an early 19th-century pair of houses located on Abbot’s Walk. The buildings are three storeys high with a basement, constructed of Bath stone. A string course runs at the first-floor impost level of the arched windows, and another at the second-floor sill level. The eaves are wide and flat, supporting a slate roof. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, arranged in two ranges per house, with arched recesses for the first-floor windows. The entrances have six-panel doors, each topped with a fanlight that is also recessed. A mid-19th century cast-iron balcony extends across both houses, featuring a bowed section. Cast-iron fleur-de-lys railings are situated in front of the properties.
