Description
St James Former School Buildings, built in 1876, showcase a Plain Gothic architectural style. The structure is primarily constructed of flint, featuring Bath stone ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is tiled, with modern Roman tiles. The building has two gables on the west side; the right gable is taller and projects forward, incorporating a belfry. Casement windows are set beneath shouldered lintels, with two on the left gable and five on the right gable. The upper parts of the gables include round-headed lights. This building is included for its group value.
