Description
25 and 27 Eldon Square is a pair of houses dating from around the 1840s. They are two storeys high, with an attic and basement, constructed from Bath stone ashlar. The ground floor features channelled stone with a band above it. The buildings have flat eaves supported by plain brackets and a hipped slate roof with a central ashlar chimney.
The centre of the facade has four bays, which include two large later additions of four-light dormers and four arched glazing bar sash windows, each with moulded architraves above and flanking arched panels. On the ground floor, there are tall French casements leading to two tented verandah balconies, which have pierced stone parapets supported by stone brackets. The doorways on either side are set back and feature shaped low relief pediments, with No 25 having a glazed door and a two-storey, two-window extension.
