Description
No. 17 Eldon Square is a building dating from around 1840, designed in an asymmetrical Italianate style. It stands 2 and a half storeys tall with a basement, constructed from Bath stone ashlar on a plinth. There is a band above the ground floor, and the building features a slate roof with end chimneys. Three modern gabled dormers are present, along with three windows on the first floor, the central one being arched. On the ground floor, there are two windows with scalloped blind boxes and glazing bar sashes. The entrance consists of a central two-panelled door topped by an arched fanlight. Steps lead up to a projecting gabled porch, which has corner piers and an arched opening. Flanking the porch are corner garden piers typical of the Eldon Square style.
