Description

The music room at Highdown School in Emmer Green is a building from the 17th century or early 18th century, originally a five-bay double-aisled barn that has been converted. It is constructed of brick and features an old tiled roof. There is a central entry on each side of the building, with timbered gable ends and entries, and quarter hipped gables to the main ridge, while part of the structure is weatherboarded. The building has modern windows and has undergone rearrangement of the interior. It is located near the former entrance to Caversham Grove.
